This is a determinate plant that has remained at the 1'-1.5' range. The first historical mention we could find of this new leaf shape was in 1962 when P.A. Young published a paper on the genetics of leaf alelles of the "banana leaf" quality. The leaf shape is certainly different but I can't say it reminds me of a banana leaf. Nonetheless, these have concentrated fruit set of small oblong bright yellow tomatoes with lighter striping. They do produce over the season but come on especially heavy mid-season. We have also grown another variety called "Banana legs" and am not sure if these are the same or just related. Brix of 7.5. Excellent salad tomatoes.
